I lost my sister Ashley to brain cancer in 2011. She fought for 10 years with glimpses of remediation in between. My Dad and Step-mom, used every monetary resource available to heal her but no amount of money healed her. Teri’s world stopped and emptiness excavated her spirit . I’m not sure if it’s ever became whole again. I believe part of her soul left when Ashley did.
She left us a legacy though, Aiden John. I will never forget her last mothers day, lying in a hospital bed in hospice and for the first time she admitted her demise. Although I assured her that he would be loved and taken care of, she wept and said, “but it’s not me and he’s my son.” We as a family know the depth of sorrow, stress, and fear when someone you love is sick but nobody understands it more than the parents.
This Mother’s Day
This mother’s day will be different than previous ones. I’m partnering with a beautiful friend, Jennifer Cooper, founder of Love Society, A non-profit organization who makes, fills, and delivers adorable bags to kids at Phoenix Children Hospital (PCH).
THIS Mother’s Day, were delivering bags to the moms. Yes moms and were so excited! Sweet, generous people have donated what they can and I wrote this prayer that will be a printed bookmark plus I’m donating my coffee mugs. Mama’s whose second home is PCH, can be loved on and not forgotten. Do you know a mom who could use hope and love? Please pass this prayer to any mom you know you needs to be encouraged or send me a message and I’ll send you a downloadable copy. Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, you make all the difference in the world.

♥️♥️Beautifully written♥️♥️

My 11 year old daughter is currently battling Metastatic Ewing’s Sarcoma. She was diagnosed in May of 2018….she finished treatment, rang the bell and was considered cancer free on 4/5/2019. On May 21, 2019….she relapsed…..so we fight again. Thank you for this prayer.
Lori, my heart is heavy for you. Working with my friend Jennifer Cooper at Love Society, we’ve come to realize something. Although the child is sick, the mother feels the pain and fear deeper. We, as mothers, would die and kill to save our babies from heartache and disease. Are you located in Arizona? What is your precious baby’s name?
Thank you for this beautiful prayer xxx
