Were just a few days away from Christmas and if you’re like me, you have no idea what your table will look like. As long as there is good food and a table to sit at, you’re set!
Since I’ve always been fascinated with a pretty table, I finally took time, used what little creativity I have, and came up with two separate settings. I thought the red and white theme was fun and light hearted and would be so cute for our Polar Express Movie Night and Christmas Eve and my black and white was a little more elegant but not too uppity for Christmas day.
I love this red and white striped paper roll. It looks like wrapping paper and definitely could be used for that but I like it for my dining table when the leafs are in because most runners only work well for a 6 foot table. The “joy” plate was from last year and fit right in.
You’ve probably heard of Chip and Joanna Gaines, Hearth and Hand Magnolia line, exclusive to Target. I knew these would become excessively popular but still drank the cool-aid and got these placemats, napkins, and gold rectangular candleabria. For the life of me, or at least multiple trips and online searches, I couldn’t find two sets of napkins or 6 of the same placemats so I mixed and matched and it turned out perfectly.
Four Stores Only
I bought everything at Target, two local boutiques (Found and LcoDesigns), and of course Home Goods. I couldn’t decide what centerpieces would look best so I bought multiple items from Target, brought them home to see what worked best, and returned the rest. Totally legit to do that. I don’t remove tags until I know I’m in love and have played around with where and how I want to use them. also mixed grey and concrete with gold tones and I love it.
What I learned since finally creating a pretty tablescapes is this;
- I loved it so much, it may become my new hobby. I will find reasons to set the table.
- I don’t care that much about the food and especially cooking it. Thank God my husband likes that part.
- There are no rules. It only matters what your eye is drawn to and will it be functional for your occasion
I pray your table is full of love, good food, and mashed potatoes with cream cheese. Then go put on comfy clothes, lay on your side (because your full), and relax. Merry Christmas everyone. So much love to you and yours.
