I was 37 years old and never thought I’d carry another baby full term. Three miscarriages and a blighted ovum convinced me. Then, you come along! You are just everything I wish I could have been. I admire your tenacious pursuit of justice and your leadership skills. I love your smile and watching you entertain the family during all of our get together and holidays. You’re bold, witty, hilarious, and confident. I love being your mom. Happy birthdays my baby girl.

Degrees, certifications, accolades, and awards will only carry you to a certain point but kindness carries you infinitely.

Kindness must be authentic
Kindness does not = being nice
Kindness is doing the right thing when no one is looking (a lot like integrity)
Kindness is not associated to an agenda
Kindness is forgiveness
Kindness is offering the benefit of the doubt rather than jumping to a conclusion
Kindness is considering others not only yourself

Ambition must co-exist with kindness otherwise it's just ambition and that only serves one person and what kind of service is that?
